So, whether your goal is to provide customer service training, motivational speaking, spark the imagination and creativity in your workforce or undertake a cultural transformation, slarin can guide you through this process with energy, enthusiasm and excitement. Why slarin? Well, let me tell you! slarin is the brainchild of Sylvester Pittman (Sly) and Darin Topham. Sly + Darin = slarin. Get it?
Darin and I met while flight attendants at Song Airways, Delta Air Lines' award-winning, low-fare, airline-winthin-an-airline back in 2003. As "Founders" and "peer coaches", we worked very closely with the leaders and the frontline employees to develop and shape the culture of Song. We learned so many things about friendship, working together to accomplish a goal, customer service and how it all comes down to 'the experience'. Time spent being representatives of Song at Fashion Week, the Tony Awards, the Tribeca Film Festival and the Song In The City concept store (SoHo NYC) were icing on the cake! The three years that Song lasted was one of the highlights of our airline careers. There will always be a song in our hearts!

It was a sad day when we learned Delta decided to end Song. However, because of our involvement at Song, the valuable lessons we had learned and our relationship with the leaders, we were asked to be a part of the next step in the evolution of Delta. The next step was to be a full on cultural transformation of the Delta culture beginning with Delta's 11K flight attendants. We, along with a group of former Song Stars (that's what we were called), were gathered together by Delta leaders, to use our knowledge and experience to develop an informative and fun-filled 'event'. From this the "Velvet Rope Tour" came to be.
